Weekly pictures – Feb. 21-27

Last Sunday me&wife ended up taking one of the Toronto’s Discovery Walks which took us through Belt Line Park, Mount Pleasant Cemetery and Don Valley Brickworks.

The route is beautiful, however, the idea of going there during the spring or summer is much more appealing.

Dear Aleksejs:

On behalf of Vicki Bismilla, our Vice President Academic and Chief Learning Officer, members of our Global Citizenship Experiences Abroad Committee and myself, I am pleased to confirm that you have been selected as a finalist to receive an International Service Learning Scholarship.

As a recipient, you will participate in a trip to the Colonia Nueva community in Cabarete in the Dominican Republic, representing your school and Centennial College. The trip will take place from March 6th – 20th, 2010 (Study week and the following week). Your flight, medical insurance, accommodations and meals will be provided as part of this learning experience.

Additional details will be provided to you at the Information and Orientation session to be heldfrom 7:15 – 9:30 pm on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010, following the dinner and reception for all candidates that will take place earlier from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

We are very proud of your interest and the tangible demonstration of your development as a global citizen that was reflected in your application. We look forward to meeting you on Wednesday evening.
